How to seal glass jars, three steps to achieve food vacuum preservation (method 2)

Prepare the required instruments and utensils, and sterilize the glass jars before sealing. A vacuum sealer and matching glass jar sealing accessories are required. It can be sterilized by boiling, or you can put the glass jar in the dishwasher and choose high-temperature washing. If cooking with water, the water in the pot must completely submerge the glass jar.

Canned and ready to vacuum. When the food is ready, take the glass jar out of the boiling water, use tools such as food tongs or canning tongs, and wait for the glass jar to dry before filling it with food. Put the lid on the glass jar, first cover only the disc, put the outer ring aside, connect the tube of the vacuum sealer to the sealing fitting, and then put the sealing fitting on the mouth of the jar.

Start the vacuum sealer and screw the outer ring in place. Draw the vacuum according to the equipment instructions, start the machine, and wait for the prompt that the sealing is complete. Remove the tube from the sealing fitting, remove the fitting from the mouth of the jar, then put the outer ring back into the mouth of the jar and tighten. Store jars in a dry, cool place.
